I wish to use photography, film, and image-making to build my portfolio. When I work with images from the world around me I realize the happiness, sadness, seriousness, and lightheartedness of the humanity around all of us. I want my work to reflect popular culture, gender roles, and stereotypes in a humorous manner. My hope for my work is that it will change and evolve with the changes in the world and in my own personal growth. My main goal is for my work to have an emotional response with my viewers. Also I want my work to change the way people view the world around them. I'm not sure about the direction of the work I make this semester, but I hope to figure things out as I go. Also I do not want to limit myself to a specific style or topic at first. I want my work to reflect my growing and changing life and world around me.
